Five years of service

A consulting room only ever reaches the people who can get to it.

The Foundation was established in 2019 to take treatment out to the people a clinic never sees. It works through free homeopathic camps held across Maharashtra, through relief distribution when the need is immediate, and through standing support for orphaned children.

Camps are run to the same clinical standard as the group’s practices. Patients are screened, consulted and dispensed to on the day, and cases that need longer treatment are referred into the clinics rather than left at the roadside. During the first wave of the pandemic the work continued in Dharavi, where the Foundation is based.

It operates under Selvan Group Private Limited and carries the part of the group’s work that no invoice pays for.

Initiative 01

Medical Camps

Free homeopathic medical camps run across Maharashtra, taking consultation and medicines to neighbourhoods that have no practice within reach. Screening, consultation and dispensing happen on the day; cases that need longer care are referred into the group's clinics.

Initiative 02

COVID-19 Response

Ration kits were distributed through the pandemic, and the camps kept running rather than closing — care was not interrupted at the point people needed it most. The work in Dharavi during the first wave was recognised by ministers, MPs and MLAs.

Initiative 03

Complete Mega Medical Camps

Held twice a year at a larger scale: free check-ups, specialist consultations and medication offered to the public across a single site. These are the camps that reach several hundred people in a day rather than several dozen.

Initiative 04

Children's Support

Nutritious meals and food supplies provided regularly to orphaned children. It is the least visible of the four programmes and the most routine — a standing commitment rather than an event.
