Selvan Group began as a homeopathic practice. Everything else in the group exists because that practice kept running into problems it could not solve from inside a consulting room.

A classical prescription is specific: a named remedy at a named potency. When that could not be reliably sourced, the group built pharmacies — one retail, one preparing homeopathic remedies to order. When patients could not afford treatment, or could not travel to reach it, the foundation was set up to run camps and subsidise care. When students and practitioners kept asking the same questions about remedies and about natural treatment, the education businesses were built to answer them properly, once, in writing.

Clinical research followed the same logic. Running studies properly at site level is a discipline of its own, so CliniSolutions was established to do it to ICH-GCP standards for sponsors and contract research organisations, with the Ethicare Ethics Committee being constituted under the foundation to provide independent review. Physiotherapy joined the group because treatment often does not end when the prescription is written, and the naturals brand because most of health is what people do daily, without a consultation.

Zyven Technologies is the newest kind of business in the group and the one holding the rest together — the software company building the scheduling, records and reporting systems the clinics run on, and taking outside work on the same terms.
